About Living Grace

Who we are

Living Grace Ministries is a non-traditional, non-religious place that is uplifting and not condemning. It is a teaching ministry with our primary focus being those who have been hurt by “religion”, those that have walked away from traditional church, and those who are unchurched. Our goal is to introduce these individuals to the authentic love of God released in the person of Jesus Christ through his limitless grace.

Our goal is also to help people realize their true authentic God given identity and gifts, and to heal and encourage a relationship with God that is not based upon works but upon the unconditional love God releases to each of us. In this regard we encourage people to ask questions without experiencing guilt, shame or condemnation. It is our hope that in the process of asking, seeking and processing, that each of us will experience the deep and unconditional love God has for us.

What we believe

We believe that authentic relationship with God prepares us to live as authentic human beings created in the image and likeness of God. To help us on our journey we place a priority on the teachings of Christ, the Apostles and the early church Fathers, with emphasis on the Trinitarian nature of God as expressed towards humanity in His unconditional love and mercy.

Nicene Creed of 325 A.D.

We believe that the Nicene Creed of 325 A.D. is an accurate and authoritative statement of truth and the foundation of belief for us. This creed states:

a.   We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen.

b.   We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one Being with the Father. Through him all things were made. For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven: by the power of the Holy Spirit he became incarnate from the Virgin Mary, and was made man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered death and was buried.  On the third day he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.

c.   We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father.  With the Father and the Son, he is worshiped and glorified. He has spoken through the Prophets.

d.   We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.

Note:  The word "catholic" with a lower case 'c' does not mean the Roman Catholic Church, but the universal Christian Church as a whole.

We also believe:

God defines His very essence and character as Love

See I John 4:8. I John 4:16

God’s love is other centered

I John 3:16 - The Mirror Translation: 16 … just as Jesus laid down his life for us to free his love within us for others

Love is known in its other-centeredness

just as Jesus laid down his life or us to free his love within us for others.

God’s love is extended to humanity as the Gospel of Grace

See John 8:12; Colossians 2:8-14; Ephesians 1:3-6; Ephesian 3:11-12

The Gospel of Grace declares that God loves you with a love that is beyond all human measure. Philip Yancey states it this way: Grace means there is nothing I can do to make God love me more, and nothing I can do to make God love me less. Philip Yancey, What’s So Amazing About Grace (OMF Literature: Manilla, Philippines, 1997, p.71).

The Apostle Paul referred to the Gospel of Grace in 1 Timothy 1:11 (Rotherham’s Emphasized Bible) as the glad-message of, the happy God.

Jesus Christ is the embodiment and conveyor of Grace.

See John 1:16 (ESV),  Romans 5:17 (KJV), Galatians 2:16 (KJV):

Watchmen Nee describes grace as the declaration that “from start to finish, He is the One who does it all”. Watchmen Nee, The Normal Christian Live, Tyndale: Wheaton, IL, 1957 / 1977, p.172.
